History

On a mission off Cape Passero on July 12, 1940 was attacked and hit by a “Sunderland” reporting minor damage to the stern. The unit was employed transporting material in the Libyan ports. On March 5, 1943 was sent to Pola for training conducting 93 training missions. At the time of the armistice the unit left Pola for Taranto where she remained until the end of the war. The submarine Ruggiero Settimo was decommissioned in 1948.
