Sogo style, Sogo is the hairstyle which is to scrape back one's hair without shaving or pulling. Many Yamabushi(ascetic hermits) and scholars had this hairstyle. It represents a head as if the person isn't wearing Samurai Helmet therefore the person could have looked like a brave man from a distance.
