The Fullerton Hotel Singapore or Former Fullerton Building at 1 Fullerton Square, Singapore 049178, was designed in a neoclassical style by Major Percy H. Keys and his assistant Frank Dowdeswell, architects with the Public Works Department. Construction began in February 1924 on the site of the former post office, which had itself replaced Fort Fullerton which had been demolished in 1865. Fort Fullerton had been named after Sir Robert Fullerton, the first Governor of the Straits Settlements (1826–1830).

Fullerton Building was officially declared open by the Governor, Sir Hugh Clifford, on 27 June 1928. It housed various government departments, including the General Post Office (GPO; until the 1990s), the Singapore Club, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Marine Office. Later, the building was occupied by, among others, the Economic Development Board, the Inland Revenue Department (now the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore), and the Ministry of Finance (until 1978). In 1996 the Government announced its intention to turn the building into a hotel, and it underwent renovations between 1997 and 2000. The Fullerton Hotel Singapore was declared open on by Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong on 1 January 2001.

The building was gazetted a national monument on 7 December 2015.
