Category:Thomas Lincoln reproduction log cabin
English: a reproduction of Thomas Lincoln's log cabin in Coles County, Illinois: The original cabin was built here by 1845 for the father and stepmother of Abraham Lincoln, who moved here after Abraham Lincoln had already moved to Sangamon County, Illinois and never lived here. The original cabin was disassembled in 1893, sent to the Columbian Exposition in Chicago, and lost afterwards. The current log cabin is a replica from the original photographs, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the mid-1930s.
