English: Torridon was an iron fullrigged ship built in 1885 by A. Hall & Co., Aberdeen for A. Nicol & Co., Aberdeen. The dimensions were: length × beam × depth: 246 × 38.1 × 22 ft (75 × 11.6 × 6.7 m) and tonnage: 1564 GRT, 1502 NRT and 1391 tons under deck. The Torridon was a near sister ship to the same owner's ship Yallaroi, built 1885. 1906 sold to Italian owners. Sunk 1916 by a German submarine.[1]
