English: The information sign on-site states that Tullygobban Tomb is said to be named after Goban Saor, the master craftsman in Irish folklore who is credited with building megalitic tombs and placing glacial erratics. It is said that his wife and child are buried on this hill. The tomb is classified as a wedge tomb built about 2500BC. It aligns with the setting sun on 21 December.
