Category:Twin Peaks 102 Bedford Street

English: "Twin Peaks" at 102 Bedford Street between Grove and Christopher Streets in the West Village neighborhood of Greenwich Village, Manhattan, New York City was built c. 1900 and renovated in 1925 by Clifford Reed Daily for art patron and financier Otto Kahn, whose daughter lived there. Daily felt that the building around 102 Bedford were "unfit for inspriring the minds of creative Villagers" and aimed to provide an "island growing is a desert of mediocrity." The AIA Guide to NYC calls it "pure Hansel and Gretel". The house is located in the Greenwich Village Historic District. (Sources: AIA Guide to NYC (5th ed.) and NYC GIS map)
