This series consists of correspondence, memorandums, messages, reports, statistical tables, and other records, including photographs, documenting the activities of the Boston Port of Embarkation. Included are statistical reports concerning cargoes; detailed historical reports concerning port organization, facilities, and activities; inspection reports relating to the readiness of units about to depart for overseas theaters of operation, transcripts of interviews with returning military personnel, and reports on the arrival and departure of vessels. Also included are records relating to overseas theaters, particularly the European Theater of Operation.
