The Vienna Philharmonic Sommernachtskonzert Schönbrunn 2009 was the sixth of these annual events, in front of an audience of possibly up to 100.000 -- and, to some extent, a huge garden party as well, with quite some come-and-go.

On 2009-06-04 it was directed by Daniel Barenboim, who also performed as a solist on piano.

This concert is for free. It is transmitted life by ORF in ~60 countries, a project which is contracted until 2012, as of now.

Unfortunately, the best viewing spots (besides beam cameras) are exclusively reserved to accredited press photographers -- wikipedia once more got what could be obtained 'at reasonable expense' -- as usual.
