Français : La pierre de Volvic est une roche volcanique qui fut très utilisée dans les constructions notamment dans les environs de Clermont-Ferrand et de Riom (Puy-de-Dôme - France). Elle a une couleur allant du gris clair à des teintes noires. Elle provient en très grande partie des carrières situées à proximité de Volvic, non loin de Clermont-Ferrand.

English: The Volvic stone is a volcanic rock that has been used extensively in buildings, particularly in the Clermont-Ferrand and Riom areas (Puy-de-Dôme - France). It has a color ranging from light gray to black hues. It comes largely from quarries located near Volvic, not far from Clermont-Ferrand.
