Walter Hargreaves Bourne emigrated to Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada in 1913. {Source: ArchInform) He then travelled and practised in the Straits Settlement, Singapore, and Baghdad, Iraq (1920), then Hong Kong (1929–1934), where he designed shophouses (shops/stores). He was buried in Hong Kong cemetery, sometime after 1938.
