The YAVARI, built in England 1862, a Victorian steamship on Lake Titicaca, Peru, in the Andes mountains of South America. The YAVARI was delivered in pieces by mule to the Lake over 3,810 metres above sea level. As a State Registered Museum, she is now berthed in Puno Bay, behind the Sonesta Posada Hotel del Inca between the town and Isla Esteves (Hotel Libertador). A 40m. pontoon gives access to the vessel
