The proposal to move this category to Category:Aircraft by registration country is based on an erroneous interpretation and understanding of this category. Each Category:Aircraft of countryxxx contains aircraft built or designed in the countryxxx, not aircraft registered there.PeterWD (talk) 15:50, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
- I oppose the request to adopt a "registration country"-pattern. I propose Aircraft by country of manufacture —and— Aircraft by country of operation / use. We apparently need to sort the airplanes by their place of employment vs their place of produce, registration has for Commons users vague if any importance. Orrlingtalk 07:44, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
