- I checked the Thesaurus, and the preferred term is indeed altarpiece. All the categories are being moved to the correct term. -- Darwin Ahoy! 10:26, 19 December 2015 (UTC)

Following Getty edu a reredos is an altarpiece and not the other way around. Please comment. Oursana (talk) 19:48, 24 April 2019 (UTC)
