Resource list can be moved, but not to talk page

MDD. I reverted your blanking of the chart resource list. Many pages, categories, and projects link to this list. Discuss things first instead of deleting lots of stuff. See Commons:Don't be bold.

The list can be moved after talk. I agree that the chart resource list needs to be moved. I am working on it. I moved the map resource list awhile back from the main map category page. See Commons:Map resources. --Timeshifter (talk) 00:20, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

MDD moved the resource list to the talk page before there was any discussion about moving it anywhere. So I wrote my above comment. After I suggested we move it to a separate page he has since agreed to this on another page. So, I guess there is nothing more to talk about. --Timeshifter (talk) 18:41, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Sources for more charts

I believe that putting User:Timeshifter/Template:Diagrams charts graphs on the category page would eventually get more people involved in helping out here.

The following diagram categories (and/or their subcategories) may still have statistical charts, graphs, or tables in them. The individual files can be moved and/or added to subcategories of Category:Charts and Category:Statistics. As many files as possible should be categorized in the right subcategories. New subcategories may be created. Files may need to be categorized in multiple categories. Search for more categories here and here.

Charts and graphs

The Charts and graphs gallery is just presented in the introduction by Timeshifter with the words:

For links to galleries explaining and showing the many types of charts and graphs go here.

Now I removed this text. At the moment I think that gallery isn't explaining any thing. It is just confusing. Even more confusing is to direct in that direction, while:

• there is a gallery chart, which is showing most of the different types of charts at the moment.
• there is gallery plot, which is showing most of the different of plots at the moment
• and there is a gallery specific diagram types under construction to show all different types of diagrams.

P.S. One other thing. The announcement is pretending there is an overview of graphs. I think this isn't true. We are far from that. See also Category talk:Line charts
