The coats of arms of the town municipalities have traditionally had a mural crown above the shield to indicate the town status. That is how they were originally aproved, but it seems the crown has been edited out more and more in the recent years. Here some of the images such as that of Ålesund rightfully depict the shield with the crown, but others such as that of Bergen do not. I believe an image with crown should replace those images where a crown is appropriate, but missing.Inge 14:33, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
