How do other people create SVG music images? So far, what I've found is to create a LilyPond file (e.g. using Rosegarden or some other GUI), render it to PDF, convert that to SVG, and touch up in Inkscape as needed. I know Lilypond has a direct SVG export, but that worked badly for me. Superm401 09:13, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

I figured out it was a font issue, and fixed it. However, since the relevant fonts aren't on the list it is still necessary to convert text to paths (which I think is done automatically when exporting to PDF) before uploading to Commons. If the fonts are free (they should be but I haven't verified) perhaps they can be added to the Wikimedia server. Superm401 09:41, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
