Category:Photographs of birds of Kerala by N. A. Naseer

Hi, as of August 27, 2013, all the images of that category were individually also categorized as "Birds of Kerala", that's why I created Category:Photographs of birds of Kerala by N. A. Naseer to avoid 'over-flooding' respectively 'over-categorization'. btw: also renamed (naming conventions) Category:Photographs by N. A. Naseer. Hi, ok to rename 'N. A. Nazeer' as well in EN-WP and re-categorization by species in general is a good idea, but to over-categorize as well as in species-related category and also in Category:Photographs by N. A. Naseer, and to 'hide' that category, imho not ;-) Partially corrected as not having to much time, imho according to Wikimedia Commons 'standards', regards, Roland zh 17:28, 28 August 2013 (UTC)

Is the 'Category:Photographs by N. A. Naseer‎' really required? Naseer unlikely to share any other artforms and it is clear that, he is a photographer from the base category description (I removed that category from files, because files are already categorised to sub-categories). I also don't agree to hiding these categories.--Praveen:talk 01:01, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

Hi Praveen, imho other photographer's media (photos) are categorized the same way, see p.e. category:Photographs by photographer: I guees you share my oppinion that Mr. Naseer is a real professional photographer; as of today the uploads imho are done by p.e. Manojk, yourself (?) and other (Malayali) Wikimedians and not be himself, that's why imho it's recommended not to categorise as media of 'just' a Wikimedian [see category-related comment] ;-) Nevertheless all the media was 'over-categorized', that's why the above mentioned commentary was done and the 'category-root' fixed. Okay. Manoj K is another user and Naseer's username is User:NilgiriMarten. If I am correct, Naseer personally handed over these photos to Manoj and he just uploaded them because Naseer is busy. --Praveen:talk 02:58, 30 August 2013 (UTC)
