"Trams"?! This is blasphemous! I can't rename it right now, but I intend to rename the category to "Streetcars in New Orleans". —Bersl2 01:26, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

"Trams" is the parent international category. However, quite correct that "streetcars" is what they are called in New Orleans. I have no objection to moving the contents as you suggest and leaving this as a category redirect. As there are a good number of items in the category, you might wish to request a bot move for the individual images rather than doing them all by hand. Tram category tree naming RfC

There has been a RfC started at Category talk:Trams#Request for Comment regarding localisation of terms regarding the use of localised terms such as streetcar in tram related categories.
