I think "The Birds of Europe (illustrations by John Gould)" would be the best name for this cat. Snowmanradio (talk) 11:09, 6 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I would say "The Birds of Europe (Gould)": the title of the book with a disambiguator, as we know Gould was the author, but not that he made all the illustrations, and we don't know that illustrations is all this need contain (and if it did, something like "Illustrations from The Birds of Europe (Gould)", I think, would be normal). —innotata 01:45, 20 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
Oppose Commons emerging de facto standard for books is <title> by <author>. That works for all books, movies, songs, plays, paintings, sculptures ... --Foroa (talk) 17:59, 10 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
Again, is it really? and how? —innotata 18:01, 10 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
