RE: The Dana School of Music "Citation"
The Dana Musical Institute, which it was originally called, was founded in 1869 by my great-grandfather. From the late 1800's on my grandfather, Lynn B. Dana Sr., led the school to become the 5th largest music school in the country. It was purchased by Youngstown State University during WWII after the depression (and after my grandfather died in 1943). My father, Lynn B Dana Jr., though trained as a pianist, never ran it as he'd been raised to do. ----Megan Dana
