  • Morris & Salom Electrobat II (1894). Although it was withdrawn from the race after 11 miles in a snow storm, it was the first useable electric car in the U.S., and won a gold medal for its construction. The accompanying umpire required by the regulations was Hiram Percy Maxim. Picture was probably taken on another event.
