I have been active on the Commons for some time and I have uploaded many, many free images here. I have been serving as an administrator on the English Wikipedia for a while now, and I would like to be able to help out at the Commons as well. There is a lot of admin work that needs to be done here, especially with the six-month deletion requests backlog. —Remember the dot (talk) 19:46, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

- Comment I'm curious as to what your reasoning was behind this followed by this. I'm assuming your's had a better name and/or was being used, but why nominate it for regular deletion instead of just switching the {{Dupe}} tag? I see you first added {{Bad name}} before nominating. I guess my question is, concerning duplicate/redundant/superseded/renamed files, what should be speedied and what should be list on COM:DR? Another question: when should pages be blanked (not counting archiving or sandbox clearing). Thanks. Rocket000 09:13, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- In this case, I just wasn't sure what template to use, so I listed it at COM:DR to be on the safe side. I'll probably use {{Dupe}} more in the future for exact duplicates. If it's not an exact duplicate then it should be sent through COM:DR instead of being speedied. —Remember the dot (talk) 22:37, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
