There are more and more scanned books to name, rename, categorise, organise, delete, with the increasing capabilities of the bots to help to load them. I am an admin on the English, Multilingual and French Wikisources (in the last one I am a bureaucrat too) so I know the tools well — I'd like to be an admin here too, not to have to bother admins here when I need to rename or delete files. I have been a contributor here since June 2006, a trusted user since August 2008; I have collected lots of images from Commons to illustrate what I did and have it understood, so I know Commons' structure and policies well. Here is for instance my page of icons on French Wikisource. Here is my user's page on Commons. --Zyephyrus (talk) 14:48, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  10.  Oppose Apparently, deleting and renaming files is not a good reason. Noodle snacks (talk) 09:48, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have not explained the reasons clearly enough. We have much more scanned books than we had previously, and not enough admins on Commons to rename them as quickly: only Yann and Pyb know the problems of naming books here and they are both very busy. If Commons keeps scanned books they must have enough admins knowing their specific problems and if they have more books than before they need more admins than before to manage them. I think that I have the right profile to do that, don't you think so? Are my explanations clearer? We will have to rename the files that were created when the naming rules had'nt been set yet; but it is important not to lose our books in the process, this is why we need renamers who have experience about Wikisource and this is the reason why it can't be done by bots alone.--Zyephyrus (talk) 11:52, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
He said "Apparently". I wouldn't take it as a personal opposition. Rocket000 (talk) 08:51, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
