Tasks: Upload up-to-date maps of Italian municipalities. There are about 8000 municipalities, boundaries are updated yearly by the national statistical agency. Here is an example of image that will be uploaded, the description will be automatically updated for each municipality: [1]

Bot's tasks for which permission is being sought: upload several images automatically
Automatic or manually assisted: automatic supervised (through OpenRefine)
Edit type (e.g. Continuous, daily, one time run): One time run each year
Maximum edit rate (e.g. edits per minute): I don't know the edit rate allowed using the new OpenRefine function for uploading images. As fast as it can, i suppose.
Bot flag requested: (Y/N): Y

- @Krd sorry, i thought the process was concluded with the last message of @EugeneZelenko. Since the new shapefiles for 2024 are available I'd like to reactivate this bot. - Thank you @EugeneZelenko i'll update the descriptions by removing the space in the Category tags and adding newlines after parameters. those are the two kind of edits I saw from your suggestion, let me know if other things should be addressed. all the best Sette-quattro (talk) 12:56, 14 May 2024 (UTC)

- Hi @EugeneZelenko, I tried with 10 images but it seems the account is blocked, probably due the amount of edits I did: Special:Contributions/MappeComuniBot. - Format seems OK for me. I think will be good idea to reduce categories: Category:Maps of municipalities of the province of Salerno in 2024 should be used instead of set of three (but please categorize it), included Category:Maps of municipalities of the province of Salerno and Category:Maps of Italian municipalities in 2024. - Ok, I will reduce the categories keeping only "Category:Maps of municipalities of the province of XXX in 2024". I set a separate category related to the year to ease the process of editors since articles on Italian wikipedia don't rely on wikidata for the municipal map, but if you have better suggestions they are really welcome. Would it make sense to use Category:Maps of Italian municipalities in 2024 as macro category to categorize the provinces categories?
- Then, I'm not expert of categories, what does it mean to categorize it?

Category:Maps of municipalities of the province of <province> in 2024. I indexed the Category:Maps of municipalities of the province of Salerno in 2024 under the other two.
