- Info One of our local monsters lurking in the depths of Åby fjord. :-) After the rain, the water of the fjord turns a bit murky. With dark clouds still overhead and the sun only peeking in from the side, you get a kind of ocean exploration feel at this deep corner of the fjord. - Support per above. A little additional vignetting might actually accentuate the motif even more --Martin Falbisoner (talk) 06:33, 28 May 2021 (UTC)

- Well, Commons is a repository for all kinds of images, for all kinds of projects and situations. As you might have noticed I often nominate photos that are a bit "outside the box". It's not that I can't do 'normal' photos, I even nominate a few once in a while (like the diamond necklace), but the project needs diversity and that means it's better if some of us do photos of things other than pretty landscapes, flowers and studio shots. Like Daniel said, try to see this on the cover of a CD or LP, that might help you understand. Or like this photo, that actually became the cover art on a book. This is also what Commons is about. --Cart (talk) 20:01, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
- I'm not criticising the idea, it can be liked or not, CDs or a book can have an internal meaning within the disc itself to explain the cover, but here I'm judging the subject, and frankly I'd like to see it sharp. A matter of taste, no offence. P.S. I gave the diamond photo a positive vote [1]. --Commonists 20:27, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
- I know, that's why I used it as an example. But the point was that the rules for FPC actually says that photos should not be judged from a simple "I like/don't like it" standpoint, but on how useful they are for the Wikimedia project. Of course we all fall into that trap sometimes. I'm not writing here to make you "like" this and change your vote, I was trying to answer your "I honestly don't understand what it is" comment and explain. --Cart (talk) 20:50, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
- Definitely, but my:"I don't know what it is" can also be read :"what's the point?". I honestly don't understand these pictures but of course I welcome other opinions.--Commonists 21:43, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
- It's a shame you couldn't make it look like a mushroom cloud. Then it could be special. Charlesjsharp (talk) 08:49, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
