Why the colors went so wrong?

I uploaded this image but as you can see it lost the outlines and the colors went wrong when it not in its real size. Why is that and what can I do about it? -- 13:15, 14 June 2011 User:Isagar2004

Why isn't this Inkscape-created image displaying properly?

I just created File:Pittsburgh Wayfinder signage (East End and Bigelow).svg. It looks fine when I have it open with Inkscape, but when I uploaded it a strange black box has appeared on the image. When I downloaded it and opened it again, still no box; it doesn't appear to me to be a part of the actual SVG file, but I'm new to Inkscape so maybe I'm missing something. Advice from a user familiar with Inkscape would be appreciated. Alekjds 00:56, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

It's the old stupid Inkscape "flowtext" nonsense, which has afflicted many uploaders before you. You can test for it at Commons:SVG Check. AnonMoos (talk) 02:55, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

New version of SVG not displaying

Does anyone know why the most recently uploaded version of this image (Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh.svg) is not displaying? Downloading the SVG file directly shows the correct image, but the thumbnails are still the old version. Did I do something wrong? Alekjds 05:24, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

I've been having the same problem with File:Roman_Catholic_Archdiocese_of_Washington.svg and File:Roman_Catholic_Archdiocese_of_San_Antonio.svg -- it's probably a site problem. Sometime "purging" helps in such cases (change "&action=history" or "&action=edit" at end of URL to "&action=purge"), sometimes it doesn't... AnonMoos (talk) 08:53, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
