The Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) is a political foundation associated with the German Christlich Demokratische Union (CDU).

In August 2011, the KAS and its Archive for Christian-Democratic Policy (ACDP), kindly provided a batch of 130 images (including more than two dozen campaign posters) under the terms of the Creative Commons CC-BY-SA 3.0 license.
Due to very encouraging reactions to the publication of this first batch, the ACDP decided to provide virtually all its historical campaign posters to the public, freely licensing these under CC-BY-SA. As of January 2014, there are more than 8000 scans available in Wikimedia Commons, covering election campaigns of the CDU, its predecessors, and sub-organizations from 1907 until 2013.
