Great Egret

  • I think it's a little overexposed. It was taken at around noon on a very bright day. Any tips on taking pictures in such conditions? --Ianare 06:26, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Indeed it seems overexposure, but.... Could you try to see B&W version of this image? Then you'll can see what both the sky and the bird are nearly gray-color. Therefore it seems more lightness, I think. It would have been better if the (only) sky would be more deep blue. _Fukutaro 16:05, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
  • A polarising filter might have helped... --Rampensau 15:00, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Empire State Building in b/w

It's OK. try with QI first --Orlovic (talk) 22:13, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
    • No, not like this. There is no clear benefit from b/w here as it is. It doesn't look like a classic b/w picture, but like a desaturated color pic. The uneven exposure is a bit irritating, I'd crop the left and if you are going for the artsy look I'd do quite a bit of post processing. Try selectively changing the curves using layers and soft blending. --Dschwen 04:44, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
