  • Votes cast by ineligible users/accounts, multiple/duplicate votes cast in violation of the rules will be invalidated.

Picture eligibility

There will be two rounds in POTY 2011.

Round 1
Round 2 (Final)
  • Round 2 will include the top 32 pictures in Round 1 by number of votes. Pictures from any category will go to the Final Round - the categories are irrelevant when it comes to counting the votes.
  • If no picture of one topic category is among the top 32s, the picture with the most votes from this category will also participate in the next round in order to guarantee a diverse Final. Thus there can be more than 32 pictures in the Final.
Note
  • The picture in the Final with most valid votes will be declared as the Picture of the Year. The top three picture will be featured as runners-up.
  • No candidate should be disqualified without careful discussion as long as they are not deleted. After voting for a round has started, no picture has to be replaced, even if one picture was deleted.
