  • Decline
  •   Support Good quality. Description seems a bit excessive and category needed to be fixed, since the species is identified. --MB-one 16:08, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Oppose There is a green halo, the crop is to generous and therefore the subject too small, DoF problem. --Poco a poco 17:13, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Oppose Very small insect, but I think it's a problem that the head is out of focus. -- Ikan Kekek 06:20, 14 July 2020 (UTC)

  • Nomination Caitlin McFarlane at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics --Sandro Halank 17:57, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
  • Decline
  •   Support Good quality. --King of Hearts 22:47, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Oppose blown highlights --Charlesjsharp 13:44, 7 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Support Human subject is intact. I would prefer increased contrast between clothing and blown background, but ok as-is. --Trougnouf 16:35, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Oppose Even large parts of the clothing are blown. --Smial 19:16, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Oppose per others --Llez 09:19, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Support IMO, why should we care about the undifferentiated snow in the background? If any of her clothing were truly blown, I wouldn't see contrast between it and the snow, but I do. Maybe a tiny amount of it is blown, but overall, I find this quite acceptable and a good portrait. -- Ikan Kekek 00:24, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
    •   Comment We usually decline images of architecture or landscapes, if clouds or some small parts of the sky between leaves of a tree are blown. I don't understand, why this criterion should not apply to a photo of a person, where two thirds of the pixels are blown. "Blown" does not only mean RGB FFFFFF, but also single clipping colour channels. Of course you can recognize some contrast between areas with RGB FFF0FF and RGB F0FFFF, but both is still blown. --Smial 08:35, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Question I base my judgment on whether it distracts or bothers me or not. Which channels are clipping in this and the other photo? -- Ikan Kekek 03:55, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
    •   Comment The white of the ski jacket is over-exposed by several stops. All detail has gone and it would be so simple to bring back with basic post-processing (I've just checked). If this is QI, standards have dropped again. Charlesjsharp 15:41, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Comment OK, I'll cross out my supporting vote. -- Ikan Kekek 20:44, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Comment I've done photography under comparable circumstances with snow everywhere and overcast skies. It is neither necessary nor acceptable to overexpose these images. This may happen but then one can try to save the images in post, but not nominate them as QIC. --Granada 09:16, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
  •   Oppose The background is definitely too distracting Poco a poco 18:46, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
