Strenatos edit

Hi, I would like to receive autopatrol rights as since i work in the field of vexillology, when a flag is incorrect, it is a tedious task to request an exception to uploading a new version of an image uploaded by a different user. Thank you. Strenatos (talk) 07:38, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I still have the same copyright concerns as the last time you applied (in February). What steps have you taken to address this? (flags uploaded by you deleted because of copyright). Abzeronow (talk) 17:11, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Those files were created around the time when I first joined wikimedia, and I have tried to follow copyright guidelines (see recent uploads.) Strenatos (talk) 07:06, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I could grant the flag to you for three months on a probationary basis. If no further issues, I'd make it permanent. Abzeronow (talk) 17:15, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thankyou.
I will try to keep to the guidelines when uploading files. Strenatos (talk) 01:25, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hilbeck edit

I digitize old images related to local history and also upload old maps from state archives that aren't up on Commons yet. I just finished digitizing a few books with images that were uploaded here over a decade ago in bad quality and would like the replace them with better ones. A lot of them are already in use on a variety of pages to being able to update the existing files would be a big help. Hilbeck (talk) 02:05, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Done I see no red flags for now, despite the short tenure. Bedivere (talk) 17:38, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorafumi edit

Lots of good edits (basically all of them actually), definitely a valuable editor. I don't think they ever need to have edits patrolled. RodRabelo7 (talk) 19:50, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Patrickneil edit

Hello, seems my Wikipedia statuses don't automatically translate, so just to reiterate, I've written several featured articles over there, been around since 2007, just trying to do my part to make the site better. Thanks again! -- Patrick Neil, oѺ/Talk 03:25, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not done, @Patrickneil: Hi. You are a patroller here (see) which already includes autopatrol. Thanks! -- CptViraj (talk) 04:26, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
All good, thanks! -- Patrick Neil, oѺ/Talk 11:48, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ToadetteEdit edit

Need to be exempt from some AbuseFilters while patrolling the log iiself, especially filter 303. If the guideline above is a hard limit, let me know. Thank you. ToadetteEdit (talk) 15:46, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Tkarcher edit

I have access to old images related to local history and can often provide better scans than what was already uploaded to Commons by other users. While I can apply for single exceptions, I'd rather overwrite bad scans directly. Thank you. Tkarcher (talk) 09:06, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

AutoWikiBrowser access edit

Dactylantha edit

I would like to apply a deletion notice in bulk to a category of images that I am appealing to be removed due to incorrect copyright status - Category:Images_from_Auckland_Museum_marked_with_cultural_permissions as per my request at Commons:Deletion_requests/Category:Images_from_Auckland_Museum_marked_with_cultural_permissions. There are ~2500 images requiring this notice as per the deletion request requirements, and OpenRefine seems untenable as a batch editing option as the reconciliation service currently has a bug that has stopped me from doing any editing to that category. Of course, if there is an alternative to AutoWikiBrowser I would be happy to hear it - anything is better than copy and pasting 2500 times! Thank you. Dactylantha (talk) 01:47, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Dactylantha, you could request that job to be done on Commons:Bots/Work requests. --Achim55 (talk) 18:31, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fvasconcellos edit

Asking for myself—I've been doing a lot of work at the Graphics Lab (here and at enwiki) and this would be quite helpful. I have over 7,000 edits and 2,600 uploads on Commons (most of them useful, I hope!) and have been an admin at enwiki since 2007. Thank you. Fvasconcellos (t·c) 19:56, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Upload Wizard campaign editors edit

Pedro Henrique Batistella (Projeto Mais+) edit

Hi! My name is Pedro and I'm working on the Project Mais Teoria da História na Wiki. We lauched some contests here on Commons this year and will lauch more, so to improve our workflow we would like to use the Campaign mode for the Upload Wizard. That's why I'm requesting this permission, to create and configure our campaigns. I have technical experience with MediaWiki, so "how to use" probably will not be a problem. Open for questions and thanks for your help. Best regards Pedro Henrique Batistella (Projeto Mais+) (talk) 21:58, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Pedro Henrique Batistella (Projeto Mais+): , Your account is pretty much new and I do not see much involvement. Could you please tell us how much you know about Upload Wizard campaigns and if you been through the guidelines? ─ Aafī (talk) 20:44, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not done no response since more than a week. ─ Aafī (talk) 21:03, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

MiguelAlanCS edit

I need this right because at Wikiproyecto LGBT+ in the Wikipedia in Spanish we are going to start an internal campaign to upload photos taken by members of the Wikiproject. Thank you. MiguelAlanCS (talk) 19:21, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @MiguelAlanCS: Could you confirm that you have been through upload wizard guidelines and understand why this namespace works? Best regards, ─ Aafī (talk) 20:41, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. I confirm that I know what it is about. The objective is to create a permanent upload campaign among members of the Wikiproject and new users, and also to call on everyone to make efforts to release audiovisual material. MiguelAlanCS (talk) 21:00, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

iMahesh edit

Hello, I have been doing multiple campaigns in our geographic region, they can be seen at Wiki Loves Indian Cities, Wiki Explores Bhadrachalam, etc. There is a constant requirement for this tool and currently I have been relying on other Wikimedians to help-out for me. If I have access to the Campaign editor tool, it would save me a lot of time and will grant free hand to modify it quickly as per project requirement. I have gone through the guidelines for tool at upload wizard guidelines. --iMahesh (talk) 15:08, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
