These are pictures from Special:Unusedimages that also do not have categories, except through templates. This usually will mean that the only categories they're in are the licensing categories. Thus, these images would still need to be placed on a page or in a category. Please either make a sign by the ones you have done or remove them, so they will not be done twice. - Andre Engels 07:58, 30 Dec 2004 (UTC)

☼ represents images that do not need putting on pages due to the fact they are listed for deletion or are duplicates or under an unsuitable/unknown license or similar.

a language code after an image means a speaker of that language is needed to place it. If the language code is followed by a ? it means it is a guess, ?? means that its not described english but the tagger did not recognise the language.

If you notice that a user has uploaded a lot of images without putting them on a page/in a category, you may put Template:Please link images on that users talk page using {{subst:Please link images}} -- ~~~~. Hopefully that will help people to understand that images are not useful to others if they can't be found.

It seems that the bot that made this page didn't properly understand charsets. The result is that the utf-8 data on the original page had utf-8 applied a second time (either by the bot or more likely on upload because of some piece of software not realising the text was already utf-8) If you see a pair with  as the first letter then just remove the  if you see a pair with à as the first letter then you must look at the second letter of the pair and move 4 rows down the table shown in en:ISO 8859-1 to find the real letter. Other starting letters of a pair represent chars outside the ISO-8859-1 range but i don't think any of those are present on this page.

Can anyone systematically working on this page please note which section they are working on below so we can avoid stepping on each other? Plugwash 01:13, 3 Jan 2005 (UTC)

unfortunately the modified Special:Unusedimages also seems to be excluding all images that have license tags. Plugwash 13:01, 19 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Note: This list is quite old and does not contains many unused images.
Please use the OrphanImages tool which works on a live copy of the database. See meta:User:Duesentrieb/OrphanImages for more information. -- Duesentrieb(?!) 18:58, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
