Obscenity
US Federal Obscenity Prosecution Task Force was formed in 2005 under the Bush Administration and is lead by U.S. Attorney Brent Ward. Ward was originally appointed to the office of U.S. Attorney by Ronald Regan and brought out of retirement to lead the Task Force by Attorney General Alberto Gonzales in 2005.
While practicing law and serving on the board of Utah Citizens for Positive Community Values, Ward fought for a state law aimed at strip clubs that would have required dancers, as well as art class models and others, to wear at least a bikini. The proposed legislation did not succeed.[1] Ward resigned his position of U.S. Attorney in January of 1991 after allegedly reporting a "satanic infiltration" of the LDS Church on request of a Mormon general authority.[2]
