Commons:WikiProject Dacia edit

There are already a large number of files that need such a project to coordinate their organization. Also, many Dacia-related articles are still in need of images and we hope this project will stimulate more contributions by the user community. As you can see, I already created the draft pages for the project. Thanks for your support and happy holidays! Codrin.B (talk) 17:49, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Commons:WikiProject WikiWidgets edit

  • Functions of the project: Provide a central hub to coordinate the creation, maintenance, improvement and spread of WikiWidgets throughout the Wikipedias.
  • First four members of the project: Felipe Schenone

The WikiWidgets project is a new kind of project, so it needs some introduction. Until now, Wikipedia articles have been enriched with images, audios and videos usually hosted here at Commons. The WikiWidgets project aims to introduce a new kind of media into Commons and Wikipedia: interactive JavaScript widgets (little "games" you may say) to aid the understanding of the topics covered in the articles. After much debate regarding performance and security, an implementation was agreed upon, and the first two wikiwidgets were deployed in the Spanish Wikipedia. You can see them live here and here. A third wikiwidget with a wider intended audience is currently under development (an interactive piano for articles about the piano and music in general). After further debate, the code of the two existing wikiwidgets was copied to the MediaWiki namespace here at Commons. Now I created a WikiProject so that the project has a central hub where volunteers from all Wikipedias may gather and coordinate the development of the project. Thanks for reading! --Felipe (talk) 21:57, 1 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Commons:WikiProject Spanish Civil War edit

Spanish Civil War and 2nd Republic articles on Wikipedia don't use to have pictures. This is mainly due to copyright terms since the war ocurred between 1936-1939. Now, however, this situation may turn, since many pictures can be found on free archives, such as the Narodowe Archiwum Cyfrowe, whose potential is not being used currently. The WikiProject Spanish Civil War would also include its predecessor, the 2nd Republic (1931-1939). Macesito (talk) 20:02, 10 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Commons:WikiProject Transport/Spaceflight task force edit

I want to organize the sister project as a task force instead of a full-born WPJ is because there are less editors to maintain the administrative and bureaucratic structure of a WPJ. --Soumya-8974 talk contribs subpages 09:05, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Commons:WikiProject Lieder edit

We want to concentrate, here at Commons, on open recordings of Lieder, by organizing real live concerts to record them and release them with a Wikimedia compatible licence. Robertgarrigos (talk) 09:36, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
