De fotowedstrijd Wiki Loves Fashion 2022 in de Filipijnen heeft als doel de beschikbare media van mode en kleding in de Filipijnen te verbeteren en te vergroten als gevolg van de moderne en traditionele kleding.
Filipijnse festivals worden het hele jaar door in het land gehouden. Ze bevatten modellen en kandidaten voor de optocht van beide geslachten in hun lokaal ontworpen jurken, pakken, avondjurken en formele kleding. In het dagelijks leven uiten Filipijnse mensen zich ook door hun bescheiden kleding.
Vorig jaar waren er creatieve en exotische festivalkostuums. Dit jaar zal de fotowedstrijd zich echter meer richten op modest fashion of bescheiden dressing, wat betekent losse kleding, comfortabele dressing en bedekking van het lichaam volgens het eigen comfort van de persoon. De onderwerpen zijn niet beperkt tot modellen, kandidaten voor de optocht en beroemdheden.
De wedstrijd ondersteunt en maakt deel uit van de internationale campagne Wiki Loves Fashion, dat tot doel heeft om, in zoveel mogelijk taalversies van de Wikimedia-projecten (Wikipedia, Commons, Wikidata, Wikiquote, Wikinews), inhoud toe te voegen die verband houdt met mode (mode-industrie, modeontwerpers en merken, haute couture & prêt-à-porter, kleding, accessoires, modellen, onvergetelijke jurken, enz.). De campagne loopt elk jaar, meestal eind september, over Milan Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week en evenementen georganiseerd door het Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Photography Contest Mechanics
- Rule 1: Authors uploading images should own the copyrights.
- Rule 2: Photos must be uploaded within the September 1 - 30, 2022 (Extended: October 15, 2022). You can enter media that was taken at any time, even historical photographs (as long as you own the copyright on these photographs), but they must be uploaded during the contest period.
- Rule 3: All entries should be under a free copyright license, or release it to the public domain. The preferred license used by the upload wizard is Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0).
- Rule 4: All eligible pictures should have an identification. The identification is done by tagging the image with {{Campaign wlfa-ph}}. Note: This tag is automatically added when using the red button with special upload link on the main contest page.
- Rule 5: The photos that are in any way related to the listed categories are eligible.
- Rule 6: Participants must enable e-mail on Wikimedia Commons so they can be contacted should their image be chosen for a prize.
Prizes
- 1st place: Gift certificate worth PHP 10,000
- 2nd place: Gift certificate worth PHP 7,500
- 3rd place: Gift certificate worth PHP 5,000
- Special prize: Gift certificate worth PHP 3,000 for the most number of quality entries
