ComeOn

edit

I understand that working on a spreadsheet is the main feature of this tool. How does spreadsheet support differ from what ComeOn offers? Nemo 13:47, 4 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Possible to use other template?

edit

I was wondering if it is possible to use on Pattypan another template than the four mentioned on the manual. Any answers?--Flor WMCH (talk) 12:11, 11 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Yes! I updated the tutorial to make it more clear. -Sylvain Boissel WMFr (talk) 18:37, 30 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Description in more languages

edit

Is it possible to make a spreadsheet with more columns of „Description“ for more languages? For example one column for English and other for Spanish? I'm not able to write a proper code for that... — Draceane talkcontrib. 18:56, 17 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hey, you can put entries for multiple languages within one column, as the example shows under "Fill in the spreadsheet with file descriptions", just replace the "pl" with "es": Hope that helps! @The Raven's Librarian: Hi, thank you, but this is a solution I know already. My question was, whether is possible to split two descriptions into two columns – if I try to edit code in this way:
Extended content

==== {{Information |description = {{en|${description-en} }}{{es|${description-es} }} |date = ${date} |source = own |author = Draceane }} ==== <#if categories ? has_content> <#list categories ? split(";") as category> </#list> <#else> </#if>

it returns only error a the upload wouldn't start. — Draceane talkcontrib. 17:13, 24 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Do ní by si zkopíroval obsah sloupce C, v té tabulce vyplnil do sloupce D popisky v angličtině s příslušným formátováním a potom to sloučil za každý řádek každý sloupec zvlášť.

How many files can be uploaded at once?

edit

Anyone knows how many pictures can be upload with pattypan at once? Or have I overlooked this information? Thank you for your answer. --Hadi (talk) 18:18, 12 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

I would like to know this too, please. --Librarian lena (talk) 17:02, 23 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Librarian lena: I heared now that someone uploaded about 200 files at once and was told that much more should be possible... Who knows? --Hadi (talk) 16:24, 25 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thanks @Hadi: ! I ended up asking this question on the Wikidata Community Facebook page and I got a response that trying 500 is a safe bet, though particularly powerful computers can handle many more --Librarian lena (talk) 17:54, 25 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Java version dilemma

edit

I understand that Pattypan does not work in Java 11+, so I downloaded OpenJDK 8 to run it with. But, I cannot find an OpenJFX 8 for download anywhere (11 is the oldest available). I'm on Windows now, unfortunately, so I cannot go for a legacy package. Any ways around this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nils.Weinander-RA (talk • contribs) 14:03, 15 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Problem solved, I built from source, with the Java 11+ fixes. Now it runs fine with OpenJDK 17 + OPenJFX 17. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nils.Weinander-RA (talk • contribs) 14:14, 27 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
