English: Until 1989, the Eland Mk7 armoured car was the standard reconnaissance vehicle of the South African Army, though it was also deployed in Angola as a tank destroyer and improvised assault gun. The Eland-60 carried a 60mm mortar for armament while the Eland-90 was equipped with a 90mm cannon.
