"Chitezis Village, Livingstonia" Malawi, ca.1895
Photograph of a group of African men, women and children, likely of the Ngoni people, sitting outside a group of huts. The huts have large thatched roofs. Two of the women have pots and may be preparing food.; The Ngoni people are an ethnic group living in Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia. Their origins can be traced to the Zulu people of kwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.
