| Description |
English: "Floating Islands" on the horizon (temperature inversion at sea level) Obviously reality is different from what the title suggests and what appears in the picture - but all the high land on the horizon seemed to be floating on cushions of air above the water. Even stranger - a mere metre or two of vertical perspective revealed more of the land as we increased in height.
This is believed to be the South Pembrokeshire coast being seen through an atmospheric temperature inversion. |
