Description
English: Afgan National Army Capt. Kamal, the Route Clearance Tolai commander for 2nd Brigade, 215th Corps, uses this sandtable kit to plan his tolai's missions on Forward Operating Base Nolay, Sangin District, Helmand province, Afghanistan. Captain Scott Graniero interacts with Kamal on a daily basis to advise and assist him with any concerns he may have. Graniero is the engineer advisor for the brigade's Security Force Assistance Advisor Team. The brigade SFAAT arrived to FOB Nolay in November with the mission to guide, assist and advise. The SFAAT was created to get the ANA and other Afghan National Security Forces to think on their own as Coalition Forces take a step back and go from the "shoulder-to-shoulder" approach to "over-the-shoulder."
