English: Castelnau-d'Estrétefonds. St. Martin Church - The Departure of the Apostles going to preach the Gospel by Arsène Robert (1830-1895) Prix de Rome - fourth of the five monumental paintings of the choir. Gathered around Saint Peter the apostles go out two by two to preach in the world, the work is inspired by a painting by the Swiss painter Charles Gleyre (1807-1875), who had obtained a great success at the Paris Salon, in 1845.

Réunis autour de saint Pierre les apôtres partent deux par deux pour prêcher par le monde, l'oeuvre est inspirée d'une toile du peintre suisse Charles Gleyre (1807-1875), qui avait obtenu un très grand succès au Salon de Paris, en 1845.
