В Филёвском парке Москвы в 2024 году родилось 3 совёнка, один (как это часто происходит) упал и какая-то горе-спасительница отнесла его на передержку. Сейчас осталось двое: Филя и Степашка. Обычно они высоко на деревьях прячутся в густых кронах, но в данном случае слетели, позволяли себя снимать с очень близкого расстояния и проявляли любопытство.

В процессе съёмки выяснилось, что постоянный источник света их раздражает (совята отворачиваются и закрывают глаза), но способность адаптироваться к источнику света у них, возможно, развита даже лучше, чем у человека. Одиночная вспышка практически не доставляла им видимого беспокойства.
