Русский: Спуск на воду крейсера Аврора 11 мая 1900, Новое Адмиралтейство, СПб. На набережной (не видно) царский павильон для почётных гостей, в котором находятся царь Николай Второй и две императрицы (его мать и жена).

ru:Крейсер «ru:Аврора» и ru:броненосец «Победа»
11-го мая, в Высочайшем Государя Императора присутствии, состоялся спуск на воду двух новых морских гигантов — крейсера 1-го ранга «Аврора» (в Новом Адмиралтействе) и броненосца «Победа» (на Балтийском судостроительном заводе).
Его Императорское Величество и Их Императорские Величества Государыни Императрицы ru:Мария Фёдоровна и ru:Александра Фёдоровна, осмотрев крейсер «Аврора», изволили наблюдать за его спуском из Императорскаго павильона.
По команде «задержанники рубить», освобожденное от подпорок судно, с командиром и командой на нем, сперва медленно, потом быстрее, стало спускаться кормой вперед, при звуках народнаго гимна, кликах «ура» и пушечных салютах стоявших на дистанции военных судов.
По мере выхождения судна из ru:эллинга, на нем были подняты флаги, а на грот-мачте ru:штандарт Его Величества. Затем были брошены якоря, и судно остановилось.

Крейсер 1-го ранга «Аврора» — судно совершенно такого же типа, как спущенные в прошлом году на воду крейсера «Диана» и «Паллада».

Водоизмещение его - 6,682 тонн. Наибольшая длина с тараном - 414 фут, ширина - 55 фут, углубление - 55 фут. На крейсере будут установлены 3 машины по 3,870 сил, так что общая сила будет достигать 11,610.

Полный запас угля для судна равняется 972 тоннам. Команда "Авроры" будет состоять из 320 человек при 30 офицерах.

Вооружение ея будет состоять из восьми шести-дюймовых, двадцати четырёх 75-миллиметровых, восьми 35-миллиметровых одноствольных и двух 2 1/2-дюймовых орудий (Барановского). Кроме того, судно будет располагать тремя минными аппаратами, из которых 2 - подводные и 1 - надводный.

Полные движущийся вес его при спуске равнялся 3,621 тонне.

Из Новаго Адмиралтейства Их Императорские Величества изволили отбыть на паровом катере к Балтийскому заводу.
