СПб Церковь построена петербургским немцем Ю.М.Фельтеном в 1768 -1771 годах и стала, наряду с церковью Св.Михаила на Среднем пр. В.О. одним из культурных центров немецкой общины Васильевского острова, да и всей столицы.
