Description

עברית: בניין עיריית חיפה המצוי ברחוב חסן שוקרי בשכונת הדר הכרמל אל מול גן הזיכרון נבנה בסגנון מנדטורי בריטי, ונחנך ב-29 ביוני 1942. המבנה תוכנן על ידי האדריכל בנימין חייקין. המבנה משמש גם כיום את העירייה, אולם בשל מחסור במקום, הועברו חלק ממשרדי העירייה למבנה מלון שעמד מאחורי בניין העירייה. המבנה נבנה בסגנון מונומנטלי. המבנה מצופה אבן ובנוי בצורת האות "ח" כאשר באגף המזרחי (ראש ה"ח") בנוי שער הכניסה. מעל חזית השער המונומנטלית מופיע סמל העיר.
