বাংলা: বায়োস্কোপ, এই নামটির সঙ্গে বাঙালিকে পরিচয় করিয়ে দেয়ার কোনো দরকার নেই । বিশেষ করে গ্রাম বাংলায় বেড়ে ওঠা মানুষকে তো বটেই। তবে যারা শহরের চার দেয়ালের মধ্যে বন্দি জীবনযাপন করে অভ্যস্ত কিংবা যাদের জন্ম একযুগ আগে তাদের কাছে হয়তো এই বায়োস্কোপ হাস্যকর একটি বোকা বাক্স এর ন্যায় মনে হবে । কিন্তু বায়োস্কোপ কখনোই হাস্যকর কোনো বোকা বাক্স ছিল না । বায়োস্কোপ ছিলো গ্রামবাংলার সিনেমা হল।বর্তমান সময়ে গ্রাম বাংলায় বায়োস্কোপ এমনই বিরল যে, জাদুঘরে রেখে দেয়ার জন্যও একটি বায়োস্কোপ খুঁজে পাওয়া যায় না।
English: Bioscope, there is no need to introduce Bengalis with this name. Especially people who grew up in rural Bengal. However, those who are used to living within the four walls of the city or who were born a century ago, may find this bioscope like a ridiculous stupid box. But the Bioscope was never a silly box of laughs. Bioscope was the cinema hall of rural Bengal. Currently, bioscope is so rare in rural Bengal that one cannot even find a bioscope to keep in a museum. |
