বাংলা: জাতীয় স্মৃতিসৌধ বাংলাদেশের একটি ঐতিহ্যময় স্থান। বাংলাদেশের সেই ১৯৭১ সালের ভয়াবহ রক্তক্ষয়ী ৯ মাসের যুদ্ধে যত মায়ের কোল খালি হয়েছে তাদের স্মৃতিচারণে এই স্থাপনার নাম দেওয়া হয় 'স্মৃতিসোধ'। অনেক বিদেশীরা ঘুরতে আসে এই স্থানে। এই স্থান বাঙালিদের আবেগ হয়ে রয়ে যাবে সারাজীবন। এই স্থাপনাটি স্তপতি হচ্ছে সৈয়দ মাইনুল হোসেন। স্মৃতিসোধের নির্মাণ কাজ শুরু হয় ১৯৭৮ সালে এবং এর কাজ সম্পূর্ণ হয় ১০ বছর পর (১৯৮২ সালে)। প্রতিদিনের হিসাব করলে এই স্থানে মানুষের অভাব হয় না। প্রতিদিন অনেক মানুষ আসে এখানে ঘুরতে ও মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের অসামান্য ত্যাগ উপলব্ধি করতে।
English: National Memorial is a heritage site of Bangladesh. This establishment was named 'Smritisodh' in memory of all the mothers who lost their lives in the 1971 bloody 9-month war in Bangladesh. Many foreigners visit this place. This place will remain the emotion of Bengalis for the rest of their lives. The architect of this establishment is Syed Mainul Hossain. The construction of the memorial began in 1978 and was completed 10 years later (in 1982). There is no shortage of people in this place if you calculate daily. Every day many people come here to visit and realize the outstanding sacrifice of freedom fighters.
