Leaf  paste cures skin diseases;Leaf  tea is used  as a laxative.  It is used as expectorant,  antidysentric and  carminative and laxative. Useful in treatment of   spleenomegaly,  malaria, jaundice and anaemia.

இதன் இலைகள் இரவில் மூடிக்கொள்ளும் ;தோல் வியாதிகள், வண்டுகடி, சொறிசிறங்கு முதலியவற்றுக்கு இதன் இலை மருந்து; , கர்ப்பப்பைக் கோளாறுகளுக்கும் இத் தாவரம் மருந்தாகிறது; இரத்த அழுத்தம்,இரத்த சோகைகளுக்கும் மருத்துவர்களால் பயன்கொள்ளப்படுகிறது; ஆஸ்த்துமாமற்றும் நுரையீரல் நோய்கள் தீரவும் இதிலிருந்து மருந்து தயாரிக்கிறார்கள் ; சோப்பு,முகப்பூச்சுகள் தயாரிக்கவும் இது பயனாகிறது.
