萬壽山遠望 （北平）

萬壽山は北平郊外最大の景勝地だ。古くは金元以来の勝地だつだが、淸代では乾隆以來離宮が置かれ、英佛聯合軍のために損ぜられたが、西太后が大修築を施し大増築を加へた結果、自然の美を壓倒する人工的美觀のあくどい所に化した。足の向く所、至らぬくまもなく樓閣殿亭塔が建ち、些か食傷を覺えしめる。しかし湖水上から遠望すれば、これ數幅の畫にまさる事萬々。（印畫の複製を禁ず）
